The MEATER Pro Duo Smart Meat Thermometer 118-RTE-MT-MD201 is designed for precise, completely wireless temperature monitoring whether you're cooking in the oven, on the barbecue, smoker, griddle or rotisserie. Supplied with two independent wireless probes, it allows you to monitor two different cuts of meat simultaneously or track different areas of a larger joint, helping you achieve consistent results without having to stay beside the cooker.

Each MEATER Pro probe contains five internal temperature sensors plus one ambient temperature sensor. The multiple internal sensors monitor different points along the probe and allow the MEATER system to identify the lowest internal temperature, helping reduce errors caused by imperfect probe placement. Internal food temperatures can be monitored up to 105°C, while the ambient sensor withstands temperatures up to an impressive 550°C, making the Pro Duo suitable for high-temperature grilling and searing as well as conventional cooking.

Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity extends monitoring beyond normal Bluetooth range. The charging block connects to your home Wi-Fi network and communicates with the MEATER Cloud, allowing compatible smartphones to monitor cooking progress from elsewhere in the home – or remotely where an internet connection is available. Bluetooth 5.2 Coded PHY provides the direct wireless connection between the probes and charger.

Through the MEATER app, the Guided Cook System walks you through preparation and cooking step-by-step. Simply choose the type of meat, cut and preferred level of doneness, and the system monitors temperatures throughout the cook. MEATER's Advanced Estimator Algorithm calculates estimated cooking and resting times, helping you plan when the meal will be ready, while alerts notify you when it's time to remove the food from the heat and when resting is complete.

The stainless-steel probes are engineered for demanding cooking environments and are fully waterproof and dishwasher safe, making them suitable for techniques including sous vide and deep frying as well as barbecuing and roasting. Their slim 5mm diameter keeps insertion holes small, while temperature accuracy of approximately ±0.3°C provides dependable readings for precision cooking.

Battery performance is equally convenient. A quick 5-minute charge can provide enough power for around a two-hour cook, while approximately 30 minutes of charging delivers more than 24 hours of probe use. The real-bamboo charging block stores and recharges both probes and is powered using USB-C, while its magnetic back provides convenient storage against a suitable metal surface.
