When are my three Klarna payments taken?

Your first instalment is taken when your purchase is processed. The second payment is normally due around 30 days later and the third around 60 days later. Klarna will provide your exact payment schedule and you can view upcoming payments through your Klarna account or app.

How do I choose Klarna on Expert.ie?

Add your products to your basket and proceed through the Expert.ie checkout. When Klarna is available for your order, select Klarna from the payment options and follow the steps shown to complete Klarna's eligibility assessment and payment.

Who is eligible to use Klarna?

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the Republic of Ireland. Klarna also requires a valid bank account or payment card, the ability to receive verification codes by text and satisfactory eligibility and credit checks. Pay in 3 remains subject to status.

Does Klarna automatically approve every order?

No. Klarna assesses each purchase separately. Its decision can take into account factors such as the value of your order, your previous Klarna payment history, outstanding balances and the information Klarna uses to verify your identity. Approval for one purchase does not guarantee approval for another.

Does Klarna carry out a credit check?

Klarna evaluates your ability to pay before approving Pay in 3. This can include assessing information you provide and available credit information. Klarna uses this assessment to decide whether Pay in 3 can be offered for the individual purchase.

Is there a fixed Klarna spending limit?

Klarna does not guarantee a particular spending amount to every customer. Whether Pay in 3 is offered depends on the individual purchase and Klarna's approval decision. The amount available to you may therefore vary from one transaction to another.

Can I pay my Klarna instalments early?

Yes. Klarna allows customers to manage their purchases and make payments through the Klarna app or their Klarna account. Your current and upcoming payments can also be viewed there.

What happens if I return an Expert order paid with Klarna?

Your return should be arranged with Expert Electrical in the normal way. Once your return or cancellation has been processed, Klarna can update your payment plan, cancel relevant future instalments or refund payments already made where appropriate.

What happens if I only return part of my order?

Once Expert has processed the partial return and the change has been passed to Klarna, Klarna can adjust the amount outstanding and update the remaining payment schedule. You can monitor the updated purchase through your Klarna account.

Are there late fees with Klarna Pay in 3?

Klarna's current Irish Pay in 3 product is interest-free and does not charge late fees. However, Pay in 3 is still a credit product and you are required to make your agreed repayments. Missed payments may affect your ability to use Klarna in the future.

What should I do if I can't make a payment?

Do not ignore a payment problem. Check your purchase in the Klarna app or contact Klarna customer support as soon as possible. Missing agreed repayments can put your account into arrears and may affect whether Klarna is available to you in future.

Can I have more than one Klarna Pay in 3 order?

It can be possible to have more than one Klarna order at the same time, but each new purchase is assessed separately. Existing balances and previous payment history may form part of Klarna's decision on a new transaction.

How do I keep track of my Klarna payments?

Klarna provides payment information and reminders and lets you view previous and upcoming payments through the Klarna app and your Klarna account. This makes it easier to see what has been paid and when your remaining instalments are due.
