Freshen hanging clothes without setting up the ironing board. The Russell Hobbs Steam Genie Essential 25591 is a compact handheld clothes steamer designed for quick crease removal and refreshing suitable fabrics. It heats up quickly and delivers steam directly to hanging garments, making it handy for last-minute touch-ups before work or an evening out.

Key features at a glance

• Ready in around 45 seconds: Useful when you only have a few minutes to get ready.
• 20g/min steam output: Helps relax everyday creases in suitable fabrics.
• Up to 10 minutes steaming: Enough for several quick touch-ups per fill, depending on use.
• 200ml removable water tank: Easy to refill for another session.
• Steam-trigger lock: Supports continuous steaming without constantly holding the trigger.
• Supplied lint brush: Helps lift loose fibres and hair from compatible fabrics.
• Handheld design: Easy to guide over garments hanging securely on a hanger.

When is a garment steamer useful?

Use it on suitable hanging shirts, dresses, jackets or soft furnishings when you want to freshen fabric and ease light creasing. The steam reaches areas that can be awkward to position on an ironing board. Always check the care label first and test delicate fabrics in an inconspicuous area. Keep steam directed away from skin, pets and electrical items.

Steamer or traditional iron?

Choose the Steam Genie Essential if quick garment refreshes are a priority and you would rather not set up a board for every item. A conventional steam iron remains preferable when you need crisp pleats, sharply pressed collars or heavy crease removal. This steamer is a complementary option, not a promise of a professional pressed finish on every material.
