Dyson PencilVac Fluffycones Cordless Vacuum Cleaner – 55AW | 30 Min Runtime | Anti-Tangle Fluffycones | Matte Black | 492690-01

The Dyson PencilVac Fluffycones Cordless Vacuum Cleaner 492690-01 in Matte Black combines an exceptionally slim design with Dyson's latest floor-cleaning technology. Measuring just 38mm across its main body, the PencilVac is engineered for lightweight, manoeuvrable cleaning across hard floors, making it easy to navigate around furniture, along edges and into awkward areas where bulkier cordless vacuums can be more difficult to use.

At the heart of the PencilVac is Dyson's compact Hyperdymium 140k motor, which spins at up to 140,000rpm and generates up to 55 Air Watts of suction. Despite the vacuum's slender profile, the high-speed motor provides strong pickup for fine dust, crumbs, hair and everyday debris while keeping the complete machine lightweight at approximately 1.8kg.

The innovative Fluffycones cleaner head features four soft conical brush bars designed to lift and strip long hair away from the rollers before directing it into the vacuum. This anti-tangle design helps prevent hair from wrapping around the brush bars, while the forward and rear brush bars rotate in opposite directions to provide effective pickup as you move the vacuum both forwards and backwards.

Cleaning right up to skirting boards and around furniture is made easier by the exposed ends of the conical rollers. The cleaner head is designed to glide and manoeuvre in multiple directions, allowing the PencilVac to move around chair legs, tables and tighter spaces with a simple change of direction. Forward and rear-facing illumination also helps reveal fine dust on hard floors so that less visible debris is easier to spot while cleaning.

A newly developed linear dust separation and compression system captures fine particles while using airflow to compact collected debris. Dyson's hygienic syringe-style bin emptying mechanism pushes dirt into the waste bin while wiping the internal shroud in the same movement, helping reduce direct contact with dust and making emptying cleaner and more convenient. The filtration system captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.

The swappable lithium-ion battery provides up to 30 minutes of fade-free cordless cleaning in Eco mode, while the supplied magnetic charging dock provides quick grab-and-go storage between uses. The slim design can also lie almost flat, reaching to approximately 95mm in height to clean beneath compatible sofas, beds and low furniture.

The PencilVac is also Dyson's first connected cordless vacuum, with MyDyson app compatibility providing additional battery information, filter maintenance guidance and machine support. A rotating combi-crevice tool is included for cleaning narrow gaps and above-floor areas, allowing the machine to quickly convert from floor cleaning to more detailed household tasks.

With its extremely slim profile, anti-tangle Fluffycones technology, intelligent connectivity and lightweight construction, the Dyson PencilVac 492690-01 is an excellent choice for households looking for a highly manoeuvrable cordless vacuum designed especially for everyday hard-floor cleaning.
