Toast just the way you like it, without complicated controls. The Morphy Richards Essential 980552 is a practical two-slice toaster with a brushed stainless steel finish and everyday settings for fresh bread, frozen slices and reheating. With variable browning control, it is easy to find the level of colour that suits your breakfast.

Key features at a glance

• Two-slice capacity: A neat choice for smaller households and everyday breakfast.
• Variable browning control: Adjust the finish to your preferred level.
• Defrost setting: Toast suitable frozen bread without thawing it first.
• Reheat setting: Warm toast that has cooled without starting from scratch.
• Bagel function: A dedicated option for bagels and similar breads.
• High-lift feature: Makes it easier to remove smaller slices.
• Removable crumb tray and cord storage: Simplify cleaning and worktop organisation.

A straightforward daily toaster

Choose the browning setting for the type and thickness of bread, then use the cancel function if the toast is ready sooner than expected. The brushed steel finish and chrome accents make this a good match for modern or traditional kitchens. Its simple button and dial controls are easy to understand for different members of the household.

Who is this model best for?

The 980552 is ideal when you want a traditional, compact toaster rather than a larger four-slice design. It provides the most useful everyday functions without needing extra worktop space for a high-capacity appliance. For a family preparing four slices at once, a four-slot toaster may be a better fit.
