Dash of the Derg - IEBA
Expert Electrical Proudly Supported the Dash of the Derg Charity Cycle in Aid of the IEBA
We were proud to support this year’s Dash of the Derg charity bike event, which took place on September 5th in aid of the Irish Electrical Benevolent Association (IEBA).
Up to 70 Expert Electrical riders joined the peloton to take on the scenic loop around Lough Derg – all in support of a brilliant cause that continues to make a real difference in the Irish electrical industry.
About the Dash of the Derg
The Dash of the Derg once again proved to be a highlight in the cycling calendar for the electrical community. The event brought together riders from across the sector to raise vital funds for the IEBA, a charity dedicated to supporting people within the electrical trade and their families in times of need.
The route around Lough Derg delivered stunning views, challenging stretches, and a fantastic atmosphere, reminding everyone that this event is about more than cycling – it’s about community and compassion.
Celebrating Community Spirit
A huge well done to the Irish Electrical Cycling Club (IECC) and the event organisers – Cel O’Reilly, Dan Fisher, and Kieran Finucane – for putting together such a successful and enjoyable event. Their dedication and planning ensured the day ran smoothly and raised awareness for the important work of the IEBA.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank the jersey sponsors, Fisher & Paykel and Whirlpool, for their generous support. Their contribution helped make the event possible and ensured the riders proudly represented the industry and this worthy cause on the road.
Congratulations to All Riders ?♂️?
From everyone at Expert Electrical, congratulations to all who took part in the 2025 Dash of the Derg. Every pedal pushed and every kilometre completed contributed to a cause that makes a lasting impact on the electrical industry.
Why This Event Matters
Supporting the Dash of the Derg is about more than a day on the bike – it’s about coming together as an industry to support one another. The funds raised will help the IEBA continue its vital work, providing assistance and hope to those in need within the electrical trade.
