Despite how common the condition is, epilepsy can still unfortunately be very misunderstood. There are many myths around how the condition affects people and even around seizure first aid during a seizure. This is where Epilepsy Ireland come in. The work to create awareness and educate the public on this most common condition to bust the many myths associated with epilepsy.

 

Epilepsy Ireland also provide a range of support services across the country for people with epilepsy and their families. Much like Expert, they are rooted in communities across the country. Epilepsy Ireland's dedicated team of Community Resource Officers work within communicate to help people with epilepsy better manage their condition and to assist them with their ongoing journey with epilepsy. They are there for families from the point of diagnosis and are a listening ear for when the condition might be most difficult for the person living with it.
