What is SAORVIEW?
SAORVIEW is Ireland’s new free digital television service. It brings you all your favourite Irish channels, crystal clear pictures (including HD) better quality sound, on-screen menus and digital teletext – all free-to-air.
Like the rest of Europe, at the end of 2012, television in Ireland is changing to digital. To continue to access Irish television free through your aerial after that date you will need to switch to SAORVIEW.

SAORVIEW Channels
The SAORVIEW channels broadcast the 100 most watched TV programmes in Ireland in 2010. This means that regardless of the wide range of choice that is now available, Irish people still love Irish television and continue to tune in everyday to Irish channels in their hundreds of thousands.
All of these programmes and much more are available for free in sparkling digital quality on SAORVIEW.
RTÉ Radio operates four primary national stations and seven exclusively digital stations – all of which are on SAORVIEW.
How do I get it?
For most people who have a roof-top aerial, there are two ways to connect to SAORVIEW. You can either purchase a new SAORVIEW Approved integrated Digital Television (iDTV), or a SAORVIEW approved set-top-box to connect to your old TV set. Then just tune in your channels and services and enjoy free digital television.
